Drone footage has shown the extent of the damage after two large stretches of cliff collapsed on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
The Dorset Council said “significant” rockfall had occurred near the Thorncombe Beacon, with more movement expected as new cracks appeared on the cliffs near the fence line.
Another 300 m of cliffs east of Seatown also fell away, causing the coastal path to be cordoned off.
The council warned that as the soil dries out, more landslides and rockfalls could occur very quickly.
A spokesman for the council wrote on Facebook: “Landslides can happen anytime and without warning. Stay out of the area and stay away from the edge of the cliff. A selfie is not worth living.”
