The Apple TV app, including Apple TV +, is now available worldwide in the new Chromecast with Google TV, Google has announced.

Users can access the Apple TV app, navigate to the Apps tab or the Apps line on the For You tab.

The technology giant had already announced the inclusion of the Apple TV app in the brand new Chromecast with Google TV in December 2020. With the start, Chromecast can access Apple TV + with Google TV users, for which they need a paid subscription.

Apple TV on Chromecast works similarly to Apple services on other devices. Users can watch original shows, movies and documentaries, access their library of Apple Movie and TV shows purchases, and receive personalized and curated recommendations and Apple TV channels through the app.

“Family sharing allows up to six family members to share subscriptions for Apple TV channels,” Google said in a blog post.

“Google TV lets you see Apple Originals in your personalized recommendations and search results, making it even easier to find your favorite shows and movies,” it said.

Users can also access originals on the platform with a voice command through the Google Assistant.

“In addition to Chromecast with Google TV, the Apple TV app will also be available on Google TVs from Sony and TCL. We plan to bring more devices with Android TV technology onto the market in the coming months, ”said the tech major.

Google also announced last year that it would support Apple’s audio streaming service Apple Music on its Google Assistant-enabled smart speakers and displays.
