Azbil : Licensed as a Well being and Productiveness Administration Excellent Group for the Fourth Consecutive Yr

Tokyo, April 9, 2021: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) announced its certification as Outstanding Health and Productivity Management Organization 2021 (Large Enterprise Category) by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in recognition of known its initiatives to promote the health of its employees. Azbil was certified by METI as an Outstanding Health and Productivity Management Organization for four consecutive years starting in 2018.
The Health and Productivity Management Organizational Program is jointly run by METI and Nippon Kenko Kaigi and aims to certify large companies that practice excellent health and productivity management * 1 in collaboration with health insurance associations.

Based on its philosophy of “human-centered automation”, the Azbil Group announced a declaration on health and well-being * 2 in July 2019. The group promotes corporate governance that values ​​people by defining health and wellbeing management as a comprehensive approach to enabling employees to work healthy and lively, including initiatives to change working methods and improve the workplace by reducing total hours and preventing them of harassment. In addition, the group strives to promote diversity so that everyone’s individuality is respected and their characteristics are used to the full. In the context of one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Azbil Group’s goal is that at least 65% of employees are satisfied with their work in the Azbil Group by 2030 and at least 65% in the past year record personal growth.

Azbil has taken numerous initiatives to maintain and improve the safety and health of its employees, and has taken measures such as the following.

In 2020, employees started working from home and off-peak commutes to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and the company started promoting health measures that are relevant to new ways of working like online Yoga and mental self-care seminars are suitable.

In the 2018 financial year, Azbil introduced new HR-related measures to improve work-life balance, employee development, diversity and inclusivity, and job satisfaction. In the following year, attempts were made to further improve health and wellbeing management by establishing an external counseling service that can be used not only by employees but also by those who are concerned about an employee’s wellbeing, including family members and supervisors and employees.
