Centre fixes most worth for Covid vaccines at non-public centres


The center on Tuesday set firm prices for Covid-19 vaccines that will be administered in private Covid Vaccination Centers (CVCs) in accordance with the new vaccination policy.

In a notice, the Department of Health and Family Welfare said the maximum price the private CVCs could charge would be 780 yen for Covishield, 1,410 yen for Covaxin and 1,145 yen for Sputnik V cents and maximum service charge per dose including all taxes at ₹ 150.

The manufacturer’s delivery price to private suppliers for Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik V is 600, 1,200 and 948, respectively, according to the press release.

“The co-win is doing the necessary validations at the palace to ensure that the prices quoted by various private CVCs do not exceed the stated maximum price,” the ministry said.

The maximum prices quoted have been worked out based on the prices per dose quoted by different manufacturers and may “adjust accordingly” in the future if a manufacturer changes prices, “it added.
