DaySmart Software, an Ann Arbor business administration software company, announced the acquisition of California-based Vetter Software, a provider of cloud-based software for veterinary practice management.
The transaction will expand DaySmart’s involvement in the pet industry. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.
In addition to veterinarians, kennels and snow groomers, DaySmart offers software solutions for tattoo, salon and spa companies. The company’s software offerings are designed to simplify operations, optimize customer communications, and simplify scheduling, business reporting, and payment processing for business owners of all sizes.
Founded in 2011 by Sagi Solomon, Vetter offers 1,400 veterinary practices with features to help them grow their business more effectively.
“We are passionate about providing veterinary practices with a platform that makes their lives easier and allows them to focus on their important roles as healthcare professionals,” says Solomon.
DaySmart was founded in 1999 and has worked with small businesses from the very beginning. It is a privately held company headquartered in Ann Arbor and has been included on the Inc. 5000 list for the past 10 years. After acquiring AppointmentPlus in December 2020 and Opendock – two planning software platforms – the company began supporting medium and large companies.
Patrick Shanahan, CEO of DaySmart, says the combination of the companies will provide an innovative and powerful platform for veterinary practices worldwide.
“Sagi and his team have developed a robust, cloud-based platform and support system that perfectly meets the requirements of modern veterinary practices. We welcome all Vetter customers and are pleased to be able to offer them the DaySmart suite with value-added products and services, ”says Shanahan.
The four platforms that DaySmart offers are 123Pet for the pet care industry, Salon Iris for the beauty industry, Inkbook for tattoo companies, and Orchid for spas. Partners include Intuit QuickBooks, Version 2.0 Communications and ELO Touch Solutions.
