After a 12-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, applications for Rabobank’s Executive Development Program 2021 are open.
The program has been running for over 20 years and has taken around 700 farmers through its doors.
The dormitory program is designed for farm owners or key decision-makers and consists of two one-week modules, one year apart. It covers topics such as strategic planning, financial management, communication, governance, negotiation, global trends, innovation and risk management.
Peter Knoblanche, chief executive officer of Rabobank Australia, said a key benefit of the program came from networking with other forward thinking farmers as well as the faculty.
“Farmers are selected to take the course from a variety of commodities and geographic regions. This ability to speak openly and honestly with a group of like-minded farmers goes so much in to program learning, ”he said.
“And this network goes well beyond the program. Alumni initiatives such as farm tours and study programs offer an opportunity to reconnect with those of the course and previous courses.”
The application for the EDP ends on Friday, April 30th. Numbers are limited to maintain group dynamics.
The first module will take place August 8-13 in the Hawkesbury Valley, Sydney. The second module is planned for July 2022.
