We don’t doubt that you have a well-maintained cleaning routine. But if you feel like you could do more for your pearly whites, your gums, your tongue and everything else, we have a few ideas: tweaking your toothpaste, a ten-second-long tongue-scratching habit and – when you’re ready, all to do – a two week reset with sachets of brilliantly minty coconut oil.

The fact that this toothpaste is fluoride and sulfate free is perhaps just a bonus because it tastes amazing. Naturally flavored with peppermint, spearmint and wintergreen leaf oil, it refreshes the breath and fights plaque. It also comes with a stylish metal key to roll the tube during use, and the packaging is completely recyclable, unlike traditional toothpastes.

The floss
If your dentist asks you if you are flossing, they can tell when you are lying. But some people don’t have to: there is a community of passionate flossers, and their loyalty is to Cocofloss. Cocofloss is made up of over 500 polyester filaments that feel amazing – the floss itself is thicker than we’re used to, but somehow it slips between your teeth more easily. Covered with coconut oil, it smells (slightly) of natural coconut, mint and other flavors. Once you try it you will never go back.

The mouthwash
Inspired by his love for the sea and his passion for sustainability, dentist and surfer Christopher Perez developed this gentle mouthwash to treat our mouth – our “inner oceans” – with kindness. Instead of drying alcohols, Perez formulated the conditioner with rich sea salts, blue-green algae, algae extracts, echinacea, and essential oils. It smells slightly of the sea and gives you that clean feeling that you are looking for. Grab the smaller, stowable travel size for your work bag or hand luggage.

The oil pulling set
Give him two weeks and you’ll swear by oil pulling, the Ayurvedic oral health practice that involves rinsing oil in your mouth to get rid of excess ama or debris. This oil pulling set contains fourteen bags of light, minty coconut oil with essential oils of lemon, chamomile and myrrh. The kit is designed to be used for a complete mouth reset for fourteen consecutive days. Every day before you floss and brushes, just tear open a pack, pour the oil in your mouth, and swirl it around for five to fifteen minutes before spitting it in the trash can. (Coconut oil can clog your sink drain.) After the first fourteen days, flush twice a week to get results.
