BENTONVILLE, Ark. & LONDON – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Emergn, a global leader in professional services helping transform the way people and businesses work and deliver solutions to their customers, today announced that it has partnered with the University of Arkansas (U of A) to provide a product management training course to help product managers and product owners of varying levels of experience acquire the skills necessary to define, develop and market products, services and functions that meet the needs of their Fully satisfy customers.
Understanding the latest in product management through textbooks is no problem when it comes to managing the complexities of converting an idea into a value proposition and a product that users love. Emergn designed this course to help students apply what they have learned outside of the classroom so that they can develop a structured approach to managing products in their company and becoming more involved in product strategy and leading agile teams. Using real-world examples, participants will learn the most effective strategies for building better relationships with their stakeholders – from managers and teams to key customers.
The hands-on, facilitator-led online course incorporates techniques and tools of modern management schools, including Design Thinking, Lean and Agile, and aligns them with the outcomes of Value, Flow, Quality® (VFQ), Emergn’s own action-learning educational program focused on Results. VFQ is used by hundreds of organizations worldwide, including Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and Global 2000 companies.
The virtual (live online) course, offered through the U of A Global Campus, is split into eight one-hour work courses, two special one-on-one interviews with Emergn product management experts, and two to three hours per week of practical application and additional learning – so the participants can learn anytime and anywhere. Participants will have one year access to Emergn’s online educational platform and a physical copy of Emergn’s VFQ product management book.
“Everyone involved in product management strives for the same goal: to create a highly successful product,” said Alex Adamopoulos, CEO of Emergn. “At Emergn, our primary focus is helping people improve the way they work so they can develop, design and build great solutions that customers love. By partnering with the University of Arkansas on this course, we can empower more people who want to learn and use new ways of working to deliver value and products that customers love. ”
US News & World Report lists the University of Arkansas as one of its leading American public research universities, providing internationally competitive education for undergraduate and graduate students in more than 200 academic programs.
This partnership with the University of Arkansas is just one way Emergn has connected with the Arkansas business community. In addition to having its first US office in Bentonville, Emergn is a co-founder of the Northwest Arkansas Product Management Guild. The guild’s mission is to lead the product management profession in developing and promoting vendor-neutral product management approaches, industry best practices, in-depth expertise, and educational services.
