Power Mech Projects Ltd. acquired from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd.
Sajja Kishore Babu, chairman and managing director in an approvals list, said: “The project was awarded to a consortium of Power Mech Projects Limited and AMR India Ltd (74:26 percent share). A special purpose vehicle – KBP Mining Private Ltd.
The 25-year concession covers the mining operations at Kotre Basantpur Pachmo OCP in Ramgarh and Bokaro districts, Jharkhand.
The total coal extraction capacity is approx. 105 million tons with an annual capacity of 5 million tons. The deal includes an option to extend the contract for another 10 years with the consent of both parties.
