Marcus Rashford has won 40 caps for England while Bukayo Saka has made four appearances for Gareth Southgate’s team
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka have been banned from England’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Poland.
The 23-year-old Rashford joined Gareth Southgate’s squad despite a foot injury and will return to United after further investigation.
19-year-old Saka had not joined the group because of a hamstring injury.
Three Lions chiefs, Southgate, had hoped the couple would be eligible for participation, but it was decided that they would not be fit enough to play in this round of the International Games.
England travel to Tirana to face Albania in their next Group I qualification on Sunday (5:00 p.m. CET) before welcoming Poland to Wembley on Wednesday (7:45 p.m. CET).
