The Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), a not-for-profit that provides peer-to-peer networking opportunities to entrepreneurs across South Africa and internationally, said it launched an initiative called Bootcamp to Boardroom, which embraces young entrepreneurs as themselves survive the dangerous first three year phase of their business.

The EO Bootcamp to Boardroom is a free nine month program for entrepreneurs looking to network, mentor, connect and connect with the best business leaders in Cape Town. To be selected, startups would need to demonstrate that they have the potential to have social and economic impact in their communities, EO said.

The program is being run in partnership with EO Diversity Chair Luvuyo Rani, Over the Rainbow Foundation and FURTHER who are focused on entrepreneurial growth, support and sustainability, EO said.

Julia Finnis-Bedford, President of the EO Cape Town Chapter, said: “I am passionate about creating transformation and inclusion within our organization and our country, and I believe that this is only possible if you start at the grassroots. I think as entrepreneurs we have to give back our knowledge and share it with younger companies in this country and be the change we want to see. In this way we will create jobs in this country and help young entrepreneurs to help others grow our economy. ”
