Fort Worth-based ECI Software Solutions, a leading provider of cloud-based business management solutions, announced on October 5th that it has acquired BOLT Software, a cloud-based solution for the management of construction companies.
BOLT becomes part of the ECI Residential Home Construction Group and joins MarkSystems (ECI’s flagship ERP for residential construction). Lasso CRM (ECI’s CRM solution specifically designed for the housing industry, including lead management, automated sales processes, email marketing and reporting capabilities); LotVue (ECI’s cloud-based lot management system); and BuildTools (ECI’s cloud-based project management system for custom home construction and remodeling).

BOLT was developed by the craftsmen for the crafts and is a SaaS solution that simplifies project management, planning and estimation for new subcontractors in the housing sector. BOLT will complement MarkSystems’ Internet Toolkit (ITK) functionality. When ICT helps builders communicate important details with their subcontractors, BOLT helps these subcontractors really manage their teams: from rescheduling due to unforeseen delays to planning multiple crews at the same time.

To accelerate the growth of BOLT, ECI announced that it will invest in product development, go-to-market and customer success strategies.

“ECI is committed to helping the small and medium-sized businesses we serve do business better than ever before,” said Ron Books, CEO of ECI. “BOLT is an exciting opportunity for us to bring this mission to the subcontracting market that our residential customers rely on to achieve their own business goals.”

“Builders and transformers are doing extremely valuable work,” said Scott Duman, president of the Residential Home Construction Group at ECI. “Not only do they improve the lives of people in their communities, they are an important part of their local economies and the overall small business ecosystem. We’re committed to making sure they have the best tools available to do their jobs. By adding BOLT to our portfolio, we can serve the market even better than before. “

“In 2016 we committed ourselves to offering private subcontractors real added value by providing web-based software solutions that were developed by the trades for the trade. With authentic customer service, our vision was that 25,000 craftsmen would find value in BOLT, ”said Josh Causey, founder of BOLT. “Working with ECI – and leveraging all of the resources and experience they have in scaling businesses like ours – is a natural next step for us to achieve that goal.”

The deal was closed on October 2nd and the terms were not disclosed. More information about ECI can be found at www.ECISolutions.com.
