“It all started with an orgasm,” says Lora Haddock DiCarlo about her innovative vibrator line of the same name. “I was twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old and I was with this partner who really knew what he was doing and he was delivering something called a mixed orgasm.” For the uninitiated, a mixed orgasm is when you experience two orgasms at the same time. It happens when two places like the glans clitoris and the G-spot are stimulated at the same time. “That type of orgasm literally made me feel like I was having a seizure and a religious awakening at the same time,” says DiCarlo. “I shuddered straight from the edge of the bed and lay there for ten minutes with one leg fished up on the bed, drooling and staring at the ceiling and just thought: Oh my god, how do I do this alone again?”
DiCarlo finally realized two things: that there was no suitable toy on the market (yet) and that she was not alone. “Through some of the women I’ve been with – I’m pansexual – I’ve found that it’s not just me. Other women have the same type of orgasm when done correctly. ”
A year-long data-gathering mission followed when DiCarlo tried to create a product that could deliver a mixed orgasm. She started asking people: where is your glans clitoris in relation to your vaginal canal? Where is your g-spot located? What sensations do you want to have? What movements and feelings turn you on? “Everyone was nervous and embarrassed about these questions. But then they got excited because they realized they were in a safe room and could talk to me and they had no one to talk to about sex, ”says DiCarlo. “Every single person I interviewed didn’t initially know nearly enough about their own body to answer these questions. I had to lead people through. In the end, I made a diagram to show people where those spots were and how to measure and talk about them. ”
What she finally found out was that there were movements that people liked everywhere, no matter where they were touched: deep pressure, swirling movements, tapping movements, stroking movements. That research eventually led to the launch of Lora DiCarlo’s first mixed orgasm product, the Osé. And it inspired a whole range of toys, all designed for thoughtful, enjoyable sensations – they’re unlike any other vibrator we’ve tried before. Below are our four favorites.
MEET THE TOYS
If you’re unsure of what will lead to your most intense orgasms, one (or more) of these four massagers can help you figure it out – it’s a worthwhile journey. Its moving parts mimic human touch by stroking and tapping like fingers, swirling like a partner’s tongue or warming up on the skin.
THE CLITORAL STIMULATOR THAT IMMATES TOUCH
Instead of a more classic rumbling sensation, Carezza makes a tapping movement with the small, motorized tip under the silicone surface. It runs at ten speeds: the slowest is ideal for warming up, the fastest gets you to the finish line. “It’s about the fact that it goes from a very, very slow tapping motion to an intense deep, rumbling drumming. And this thing moves fast, ”says DiCarlo. “It’s easy to hold; the pad is shaped like a finger. It feels like someone is caressing or tapping the clitoris. “

THE G-SPOT VIBRATOR
Onda was developed to imitate a caressing sensation and is a perfect companion for exploring inner stimulation. What sets this toy apart from other internal stimulators is that it moves against the vaginal wall like a finger. Do you see that subtle bump down its length? When you turn on Onda, this bump lifts and moves back and forth under the soft silicone surface of Onda. “Onda has a vibratory boost, but it’s designed for G-spot or P-spot stimulation using biomimicry. It has this deliberate stroke feeling along the shaft, ”says DiCarlo. “It’s designed to help you find the G-spot or P-spot. It can deliver explosive orgasms. ”To build and explore arousal, you can choose from four positions – long and short strokes included – and ten stroking speeds.

THE TONGUE IMIMATING CLITORAL STIMULATOR
“‘Filare’ means ‘spinning’ in Italian,” says DiCarlo. “This was another desired feeling: the feeling of a swirling tongue.” Instead of a vibrating motor, Filare has two balls that sit and move under its soft silicone surface. Turn on the device and these balls will spin around a center point. There are ten different speeds to choose from, as well as three rotation modes: one clockwise, one counterclockwise and one that changes direction and varies the depth of sensation. “Generally, it’s meant to lie against your clitoris or to surround your clitoris,” she says. “Filare is one of the best ways to explore biomimetic motion anywhere on your body – even just on your neck.”

THE WARMING VIBRATION PLUG
Tilt has two independently controlled motors – one on the connector end to stimulate the G-spot or prostate and another on the longer outer arm that can be used to stimulate the clitoris or perineum. The feeling of the vibrations is not like a typical hum; it’s more of a deep, booming, radiant feeling. And the vibrator is designed in such a way that it lies very flat on the body when it is inserted.
When you press the middle button with the squiggly lines, Tilt heats up to 104 ° C, which is just a bit higher than your body temperature. “It shouldn’t be hot. It should warm up to a comfortable temperature in order to promote blood circulation flow. When you encourage this blood flow, you are essentially promoting an erection in either a penis or a clitoris. The more blood you have down there, the easier it is to relax and eventually reach that orgasm. ”
