CRANFORD – The The Cranford Board of Education named Gabrielle Rendek as the new Supervisor of Social Studies and Corporate Governance and Information Systems for the Cranford Public Schools District on Monday evening.
According to the press release, Rendek was selected after an extensive search process that included multiple interviews with the selection committee and a very thorough reference review. Rendek will replace Judith Podbelski, who is retiring after serving in that position for the district for the past 17 years.
Rendek began her career as a social science teacher at Cranford High School. In that role, she has honed her craft lessons across content areas and levels, including economics, history, financial literacy, and the university program’s Senior Capstone Action Research program. Realizing the need to address students’ academic, emotional, and cultural needs, Ms. Rendek has served on the Intervention and Referral Services Committee, the data team, the faculty advisory committee, and mentor to teachers.
