Chipotle Mexican Grill is the newest company to offer an incentive to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The fast-casual chain is offering buy-one-get-one free meals with the purchase of a main course in participating restaurants nationwide on Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. until closing.
“As a proud participant in National Vaccination Monthly Promotion, we encourage our fans to give their friends free Chipotle as a coveted vaccination reward,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief marketing officer, in a statement.
Tuesday is also National Fried Chicken Day and restaurants across the country are celebrating with offerings despite the ongoing chicken shortage.

However, proof of vaccination is not required to win the Chipotle deal, USA TODAY confirmed. To receive the offer, tell the cashier “Friends BOGO” at the checkout.
According to the fine print, there is a limit of two free items per customer and each free item requires a purchase. This promotion only applies to restaurant orders and does not apply to online or mobile app orders.
There are additional costs for guacamole, queso blanco, extra protein, and other premium add-ons.
Chipotle’s giveaway comes as authorities seek ways to convince vaccinators to take the plunge. Proponents say that incentives can help some people overcome their hesitation.
Krispy Kreme was the first national chain to offer an incentive to get the vaccine, and the company’s offer for a free glazed donut will continue through the end of 2021. Consumers must present a valid COVID-19 vaccination card to receive the giveaway.
Fried Chicken Day deals, freebies
Here are discounts and offers available at participating locations on Tuesday, July 6th. Offers can vary and are usually offered while stocks last. To be on the safe side, always check with your nearest location before you set off. Some also require you to have a restaurant app or sign up for email.
7-Eleven: Members of the convenience store chain’s loyalty program will receive a free slurpee anytime in July. One per customer.
Burger King: The chain’s new chicken sandwich, the Ch’King, retails for $ 2.99 on Tuesday with an offer on the app and website.
Chick-Fil-A: Earn rewards for free food with the chain’s loyalty program.
Chicken of the Church: Get free delivery through DoorDash until July 11th with a minimum order value of $ 20 or more. You can also find coupons for restaurants at Churchs.com/coupons.
Golden Chick: For a limited time only, get a deal for $ 6 that includes three golden tenders, freshly baked rolls, a side dish of your choice, and a 30-ounce drink.
KFC: Get $ 3 off $ 15 or more purchase when you add a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi drink to orders through DoorDash Tuesday.
MC Donalds: You can find coupons and freebies in the fast food chain’s app.
PDQ: Earn points and rewards through the chain’s loyalty program.
Popeyes: The Hühnerkette is offering a “summer road trip” campaign with daily digital offers and prices until July 8th. Visit a virtual travel destination daily in the Popeyes app or at Popeyes.com/roadtrip to unlock prizes. Check-in on Tuesday to reveal the daily digital offering and the chance for the $ 50,000 grand prize. Plus, with the chain’s new loyalty program, Popeyes Rewards, you’ll get 100 bonus points for shopping for family meals.
Taco Bell: Get $ 1 off a Naked Chicken Chalupa Meal Tuesday with an offer on the chain’s app.
Taco John’s: Shop on Tuesday and receive a free Fried Chicken Taco with an offer on the chain’s app. Guests who already own the app will see the coupon on their Offers tab.
Wendys: Find deals through the app and the chain’s loyalty program. Until July 31, there is an offer for a free small Frosty-ccino or coffee when purchased via an exclusive in-app offer. On July 8th, Wendy’s is offering a free Dave’s single for the one-year anniversary of its rewards program when purchased via an app.
White lock: Use a coupon posted on the chain’s website to buy a Crispy Chicken Slider, Chicken Ring Slider or Chicken & Waffles Slider and get a second free on Tuesday. The offer is available to take away or to eat.
Whole food market: This isn’t a Fried Chicken Day deal, but on Wednesday the grocery chain is kicking off its National Ice Cream Day promotion. Get 35% off all ice creams and frozen treats from July 7th to 20th, and Prime members save an additional 10%.
More offers: Local businesses and regional chains can also offer Fried Chicken Day specials. One of the easiest ways to find out is to check the restaurants’ social media channels.
