At Life-Ready Expo: Business Management and Technology on January 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., local students in grades 7 to 12 and their families will have the opportunity to virtually connect with employers from business and technology across the region
The event is part of the HCPS Life-Ready Expo series, which aims to expose students to possible career paths. Students and their families can visit virtual “rooms” to speak to employers in the area who represent a variety of career opportunities. You can find out about the educational qualifications that employers want and the remuneration to be expected.
To participate, visit tinyurl.com/BusMan-Technology.
Many of the careers that will be represented are for detail-oriented students who enjoy organizing, planning, multitasking, working with numbers, harnessing people’s skills, and designing and developing hardware, software and systems. Students can meet employers from the following U.S. Department of Education career cluster areas:
• business management and administration;
• finances;
• information technology;
• Marketing.
The virtual event is carried out with Microsoft Teams. Participants can participate via a browser without creating a team account.
Future HCPS Life-Ready Expos will include the following topics:
• February 9: Health Services
• February 23: Industrial and engineering technology
• March 9: Art and Communication
