Hiring festivals, vaccine clinics and what else you may anticipate right this moment

What’s new today (WSLS10)

Good Morning!

Here’s a look at some of the stories we’ll follow today as they make headlines across the country and Southwest Virginia:

• The Virginia Department of Health now operates mobile vaccination clinics. In the New River Valley, you can get vaccinated at the Pulaski Department of Social Services between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. In Roanoke Valley there is a clinic at Bent Mountain Fire and Rescue from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the Pilgrim Baptist Church.
• If you’re looking for a job, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is hosting a recruiting fair today and tomorrow. There will be virtual and on-site interviews between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• The Roanoke Regional Chamber kicks off Virginia’s Blue Ridge Series today. Throughout the month, executives will speak on a variety of topics relevant to the current business climate. Today’s topic is the location of tourism. The discussion will begin at 8 a.m. at the Vinton War Memorial. Registration is required.
• The Lynchburg City Council is in closed session today. The board of directors will interview the candidates for the position of city attorney. The City Attorney provides legal advice to the City Council, City Manager and the Lynchburg School Board.

That’s all until we check in tomorrow, have a nice Wednesday!
