NEW DELHI: The International Management Institute (IMI) Kolkata has introduced a new postgraduate certificate in the Family Business Management Program (PGCFBM). The program lasts 11 months and consists of six modules as stated in the IMI press release.

The program enables students to attend the program while conducting their business.

The PG certificate in the Family Business Management program is provided through a blended learning mode with physical and virtual classrooms.

“Participants in the program will be supervised by senior executives from RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, a leading corporate conglomerate in India,” said Program Director Swapnarag Swain.

Participants have the opportunity to take an international immersion (2 weeks) at the University of Paris, France. This includes a visit to the University of Paris and lectures by faculty members.

Students also get to know the four mandatory functional immersions in Marketing, Finance, HR and Operations through a project-based learning approach.

“India is a strong emerging market where the majority of companies are family-owned and more than 70% of these companies are run by the second or third generation,” said the IMI announcement.
