Justin Timberlake shows his support for Britney Spears following her terrifying testimony at Wednesday’s hearing in the ongoing dispute over her conservatory.
“From what we’ve seen today, we should all support Britney at this point,” the 40-year-old singer wrote on Twitter before referring to her tumultuous advertising in the early 2000s. “Regardless of our past, good or bad, and no matter how long it’s been … what happened to her just wasn’t right.”
During her 20-minute speech in court, Spears made a series of shocking revelations, condemning her conservatory and those in control of their lives and finances.
Spears told Judge Brenda Penny that she was forced to use an intrauterine device (IUD) even though she wanted to have more children. “I was just told at the conservatory I can’t get married or have a baby,” Spears said. “I have an IUD in me right now so I don’t get pregnant.”
Timberlake responded to Spears’ comments in his tweet, adding, “No woman should ever be prevented from making decisions about her own body.”

In another tweet he wrote, “Nobody should ever be held against their will … or ever have to ask permission to access anything they worked so hard for.”
Timberlake wrote that he and wife Jessica Biel are sending “our love” and “absolute support” to the singer. “We hope the courts and her family get this right and let her live the way she wants to live.”

Timberlake recently faced backlash over his treatment of Spears after the February documentary “Framing Britney Spears” was released.

Singer Halsey tweeted that she “admired her courage to speak for herself today”.
“Bless Britney and I sincerely hope that she will be granted freedom from this abusive system. She deserves it more than anything,” she wrote.
In a follow-up tweet, Halsey wrote: “Additionally (specifically) anyone who believes they have the authority, as an institution or individual, to control a person’s reproductive health. #FreeBritney. “
Meghan McCain asked, “How is what was done to Britney Spears not a human rights crime?”
“Isolation, controlling their ability to reproduce without their consent, forcing them to work in inhumane conditions. If she were a different person, the people who did this to her would be in jail, ”she tweeted.
McCain added that she felt “physically ill” about the revelations during Wednesday’s trial.
“I think because there is so much more to it … women are not heard who are not trusted, they are accused of being insane for every slight deviation from a perfect facade,” she continued. “We as a society completely abandoned her and her father should be in jail.”
Brandy also took to Twitter to show her support for the pop singer, writing, “I send all my love and support to Britney Spears and her fans.”
Rose McGowan, who has been vocal about Spears’ Conservatory case in the past, appeared on Fox News “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Wednesday to rally behind the pop singer.
“Well, in my opinion and in many others (Britney’s Conservatory) is bad,” she began. “Her father put her under a preservation order at the age of 25. Many in the media laughed and despised her when she shaved her head.”
McGowan added that the trial was “a cultural milestone”.
“For the first time, I believe, she spoke honestly and openly in her life,” she said. “And what was done to her is horrific.”
Wednesday’s hearing marked the first time the singer has spoken in court since May 10, 2019. Then the courtroom was sealed and nothing she said was made public.
“A lot has happened since two years ago,” Spears said during the hearing. “I wasn’t back in court because I don’t think I was heard at any level the last time I came to court.”
