Kyrgyzstan and India plan to develop cooperation in the field of women’s entrepreneurship

AKIPRESS.COM – Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to India Asein Isaev met with Indian Minister for Textile, Women and Child Development, Ms. Smriti Zubin Irani, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

During the meeting, recalling the high level of strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and India, the parties stressed the need to strengthen cooperation in the development of women’s entrepreneurship and the textile business.

The EU minister supported the Kyrgyz side’s proposal, noting that given India’s great respect for Kyrgyzstan, it is possible to develop cooperation between the two countries through the prism of existing women’s entrepreneurship programs.

After the meeting, the parties agreed on:

– Consider exchange programs in the textile industry for Kyrgyz artisans;

– Develop cooperation between the two countries to prepare effective government support programs for women entrepreneurship, such as Mudra Yojana, which provides loans to micro-businesses or organizations.

– Provide exchange programs for school children to get to know the values, traditions and culture of the two countries

– Exchange of experiences and skills in craft production and applied arts.
