Man Killed In Shepherd Industrial Accident

According to the Shepherd Police, a man was killed in an accident at work.

They say MPs were dispatched Tuesday morning to an accident at WDS Enterprises on East Blanchard Road in Coe Township.

When they arrived, a 46-year-old Shepherd male was receiving life-saving measures from a colleague. The Shepherd Police Department, Tri-Township Fire Department and Isabella County Sheriff’s Office continued to provide assistance but said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

MPs say their preliminary investigation revealed that the man got out of the bulldozer and switched it back on without anyone being inside. He was then pulled under the bulldozer.

The bulldozer then hit several unoccupied semi-trailers, pushing one of the trailers onto the road.

The MPs say there were no other injuries.
