Maryland HBCU opens $42 million Entrepreneurship Residing Studying Neighborhood – Teknovation


Bowie State University (BSU) has announced the opening of its new Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community (ELLC) valued at $ 42 million.

The six-story, mixed-use ELLC includes an Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, which houses the college’s Entrepreneurship Academy, a resource for student entrepreneur development, and the Bowie Business Innovation Center, an accelerator for local start-ups in Prince George’s County .

In this press release, the ELLC is being developed as a “real innovation hub (that) to inspire BSU students in all disciplines and to make entrepreneurship accessible. With living space for 557 students, the facility offers a co-working environment for start-ups of the BSU in the early phase with training courses and mentors on site so that students and lecturers can scale their business.

If you didn’t know Bowie State, it’s a public, historically black university in Prince George’s County, MD and part of the University System of Maryland.
