BLACKFOOT, Idaho (KIFI) – Independence Day is just around the corner and the summer calendar is already heating up.
Last weekend the Bingham / ICCU Liberty Fireworks Celebration took place in Jensen’s Grove in Blackfoot.
Many of our neighbors came to enjoy fun activities, food trucks, and a night of fun.
Due to COVID-19, many of these events had to be canceled in 2020. With no restrictions on attendance, the community was excited that life appeared to be returning to normal.
“In any case, it is good to see that the end of the pandemic has finally really come,” said Jesse Moser. “It’s gotten into people’s minds. It’s time to open up again.”
“It is amazing to see that people actually don’t fear for their safety and actually are here and enjoy their lives and get on,” said Joshua Madson.
The fireworks show resulted in many other East Idaho Independence Day celebrations, which will be on July 3rd.
