Given the framework for sustainable development, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Egypt is pleased to announce its partnership with the Ministry of International Cooperation as patron and ALEXBANK as Egyptian main private partner for the entrepreneurial program ‘Orange Corners Egypt’. .

Entrepreneurship and innovation are important drivers for sustainable economic growth and for creating decent employment opportunities.

Orange Corners Egypt is an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that provides young entrepreneurs with training, networks and facilities to start and grow innovative businesses. The initiative consists of two separate incubation programs – one in Cairo and one in Upper Egypt (Assiut) – each offering recurring 6-month training cycles for 15 to 25 entrepreneurs each. Entrepreneurship training pays special attention to startups in agriculture and the creative sector and ensures that women entrepreneurs participate at least 50%.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of International Cooperation, Orange Corners Egypt will be able to more easily connect enrolled entrepreneurs with follow-up opportunities within the Egyptian entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Ministry will assist the program’s implementing partners in identifying the untapped opportunities where innovative ideas can contribute to Egypt’s development in different sectors while achieving the SDGs. The entrepreneurial training in Egypt is carried out by the Egyptian service providers Cultiv in Cairo and Outreach Egypt in Upper Egypt. The first training cycles began in the first quarter of 2021.
