Two explosions outside Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, left a site of slaughter and destruction on Thursday that killed at least 13 US soldiers and an unknown number of Afghan civilians.
The attacks are believed to have been carried out by an ISIS suicide bomber, US officials said. The attacks only added to the chaos, panic and fear at the airport; Many Afghan families have been fighting since the Taliban came to power from Afghanistan. Pictures showed rescue workers and civilians rushing to help those injured by the explosions and gunfire.
