New Delhi: Professor K Vijay Raghavan, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Government, gave his tech talk on ‘Reboot, Reinvent &’ Resilience – Road Ahead ‘on the occasion of the 34th TIFAC Foundation Day.
“In order to grow exponentially in focused areas, the focus should be on manufacturing with design. Prototyping and manufacturing of products can be done by local entrepreneurs. Anchors and ties of design companies to Indian science should flourish so that they have the confidence to manufacture products of all kinds anywhere in the world. We should move to a stage where we can manufacture the products, design them and export the globally competing design, ”stressed Professor Vijya Raghavan.
He also said that for the distribution of knowledge as the foundation of power, math, statistics, and computer science learning should be made up of scale and machine learning-based decisions that are a consequence of this type of learning made for our population in general. Research needs to be expanded to places like schools, colleges and universities, which 90% of our students go to. “The National Research Foundation (NRF), announced in some details this time in the budget, could help ensure that training in research in general and in science and technology in particular reaches the number of people,” added Prof. VijayRaghavan .
He called for the partnership of the entire scientific community on the path to restart, reinvention, and resilience to strengthen the country’s innovation and research ecosystem.
