SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The US Small Business Administration announced the launch of the 2021 initiative for small business executives in underserved markets.

SBA’s Emerging Leaders provide free entrepreneurship education and training to small business executives who are potential job creators.

This intensive series of Executive Entrepreneurship encompasses nearly 100 hours of class time and offers participants the opportunity to work with a network of experienced coaches and mentors, take part in special workshops and connect with peers, city guides and the financial world.

The program aims to build sustainable businesses that promote economic development in their communities.

“For over a decade, the Emerging Leaders Initiative has been helping owners and executives grow from Boston to Worcester. Because of this, I am very excited to be bringing the program to Western Massachusetts for the first time. As we find ourselves in a period of recovery and resilience, SBA will continue to allocate vital resources to help companies get even stronger and return to prosperity. “Said Robert Nelson, district director.

All meetings and events take place virtually.

Recruiting is managed by the Massachusetts District Office. Interested small business owners can find out more about eligibility, application, timetables and locations at www.sba.gov/emergingleaders or by contacting the Springfield Branch Manager at Oreste.Varela @. sba.gov.
