Today, the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded again to the small screen with the debut of Marvel Studios’ second Disney + Limited series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Following the success of WandaVision, these are big shoes that need to be filled. So far, however, the MCU continues to branch out in some very interesting directions. While WandaVision had an element of magic, this seems like a slightly more informed show. In a way, it’ll be both more realistic and action packed, which makes The Falcon and The Winter Soldier something that could easily remind you of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, for example. I know I dig it by now that’s for sure …

The premise for the miniseries, courtesy of IMDb, is: “Following the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier team up on a global adventure that will test their skills and patience . ” The cast obviously consists of Anthony Mackie as Sam / Falcon, along with Sebastian Stan as Bucky / Winter Soldier, with supporting players like Daniel Brühl, Adepero Oduye, Wyatt Russell, Emily VanCamp and others. Kari Skogland directs the series, with Malcolm Spellman as the lead author.
