RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – A “launch pad” for connecting universities and companies comes to The Frontier in RTP.
In a partnership announced on Tuesday, the UNC Kenan-Flagler Entrepreneurship Center will open an office on The Frontier campus operated by the Research Triangle Foundation. The RTF monitors the park.
The office will serve as a place for UNC faculties and students to collaborate with RTP companies.
“This will be a launch pad for strengthening university-business collaboration,” said Scott Levitan, RTF CEO.
Doug Shackelford, Dean of UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, added, “With this partnership, the Entrepreneurship Center will serve as a direct link with companies in RTP for our student talent, expertise and thought leadership. This close relationship with industry leaders will be a key lever for both our school and these companies. “
The partners will begin the relationship with a virtual event on January 26th.
The event, titled “The UNC Difference: Coming to RTP,” includes the office’s official announcement and highlights of an upcoming Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise on the latest trends in entrepreneurship.
The topics for discussion include:
- Achieve immunity – a quick (and optimistic) update on getting back to work
- The future of work and the demographic change of the workforce
- Reputational justice of companies
- How innovations change due to recent events
- Team dynamics in the current environment
The registration of the event is possible under this link.
