Are skinny jeans over? And which denim styles should we keep on our radar?

This is a style question that I’ve gotten a lot of lately. The thing about denim is that finding the perfect pair is so personal. What works for you may not be the best choice for your best friend. I’ve found that it’s best not to get too involved in the trend cycle. (However, I’ve also been watching the skinny jeans debate on social media.) Instead, think about which styles are best for your figure: maybe you’re tall and athletic and have been sitting in your wide-legged legs forever since then. Or maybe slimmer silhouettes are really the most flattering on your petite body. How fit or relaxed you want to go is entirely up to you.
And there are ways to test the water without feeling like you have to go all-in (more on that later). My advice is to do it in a way that makes you feel most comfortable while always staying true to your style.

First things first: the hem on the ankle bone. It’s a length that most flatters, especially if you weren’t gifted with tall inches. Also ask your tailor for an original hem if you want to add the sewn hem back after they have cut the length. If you’re anatomically gifted with hips (and a bum!) Then take the size up and pick up the waist so your jeans are snug in all the right places and fit perfectly through your thighs. And in case of doubt: cuff! The bigger the cuff, the fancier the jeans, in my opinion.
